                   AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE A RIGHT-OF-WAY NAME OF
                   RIVER STREET TO SOUTH RIVER STREET LOCATED
                   SOUTHWEST FROM RIVERFRONT PARKWAY, NORTHEAST
                   FROM EVANS STREET WHICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED BELOW.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the name of River Street
         located southwest from Riverfront Parkway, Northeast from Evans 

         Street, be and is hereby changed to South River Street
         particularly described as follows:
             
              River Street, to become South River Street, beginning on
              the northeast line of Evans Street some 332 feet
              northwest of the intersection of the northeast line of
              Evans Street with the northwest line of Riverfront
              Parkway, and extending northeast some 943 feet to the
              northwest line of Riverfront Parkway, said point being
              some 924 feet northeast of the intersection of the
              northwest line of Riverfront Parkway with the northeast
              line of Evans Street.  Tax Map No. 135N-A-1, 4, and 5.
             
         	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
